This is Arizona's fake snow fall they had at West Gate. It was really a bunch of bubbles made to look like snow. We will be taking her north to see some real snow i think. If not she will see it when we come home in Jan!! 12/7/12

It's begining to look a lot like Christmas

I just love Christmas time. I think it is the best time of year, you have snow, warm fires, hot chocolate, Christmas lights and family time. Def sounds like the best time of year to me!! Here are some early Christmas things.

We got Bethany an early Christmas present. She loves to bounce and jump around so we figured we would get her a jumper. We got it early because we wanted her to actually use it before she got too big for it. Here she is bouncing away while she talks to Aunt NeeNee on skype. 11/17/12

We went to our towns Light Up Night. Well we couldn't resist getting her this glow princess wand. Well we got the first one, she dropped it and it broke, so we got a 2nd one, broke...Got a 3rd one and i held onto it until we got home. haha. 11/30/12

Can't celebrate the holidays without watch some traditional holdiday shows. Tonight we watched (sorta) 'Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" 12/5/12

Fun for...everyone??

Every now and then, Nathan gets an idea to put Bethany in or on something to pull her around the house. Good idea, she has a good time, laughs a bit and thats all she wrote. Well this time she was in the laundry basket...weeeeeee what fun...until it wasn't so much fun!

Sleep eating!

Playground 2.0

Walked down to the playground yesterday...This one was a different one than the one where she went down the slides. (how many times can i say "one" in a sentence). We went to a playground w swings. Thought it'd be fun...right...well lets say i was more excited than her. It was kinda hot out, and she couldn't see because the sun was in her face. Not the reaction i was hoping for....o-well....i suppose we will try again another time. Here is the oh so exciting video of Bethany on the swing. 9/25/12

Balloons!!!

I got a balloon for my birthday...so we attached it to Bethany to see what she would do. She loved it! I think we should just buy her balloons for her birthday. That'd be easy enough...haha. Also on a side note...Bethany is getting her first front tooth. It's the bottom left one (if your looking at her). (Watching Home Alone...yessss!!!)  Wee! 9/23/12

On the move

Now that Bethany crawls...she also tried to stand and pull up on everything....i swear it won't be long until she is walking..ney..running all around. She never wants to sit still anymore...not like that's anything new...she's never sat still...but now that she can move it's even worse. Anywho, here she is standing on the rocking chair. No need to adjsut your volume...and no you didn't just go deaf...hahah. The volume cuts out halfway through the video...not sure why. Also watching "Return to Neverland"  Enjoy! 9/21/12

Giggle, giggle...Hiccup!!

This si just a short little post. Every time Bethany laughs she gets the hiccups...its really funny but sometimes i feel bad cuz the girl can' just laugh without getting the hiccups. Happens all the time. 9/20/12

Ain't no time, like dinner time!

We have vamped up meal times...Bethany is not eating more solid finger foods. Well "mashable" finger foods actually. I just made a bunch of finger foods and froze them. I cut up apples, pears, sweet potatoes, avacado and peas.Well i didn't cut the peas i put them in ice cube trays and added a bit of water to make pea ice cubes. Froze them all and it creates a bunch of meals for so much cheaper than baby food. So needless to say, dinner time has been getting a much messier than usual. But hey, its ok, i don't mind. It is so neat to see her have fun eating and picking up her food. The other day i loves that we all pretty much ate the same thing for dinner. Granted a lot of it ends up in her lap and on the floor. Enough of my babbleing, here is a super long video, and i'm talking like 12min of her eating her dinner. Bon appetite! 9/16/12

Sleep Walking

Man, the best thing just happened...i was sitting at the computer making "family flash cards" for Bethany while she walked around in her little walker. She was sitting over by our bedroom door and i called her name a few times and she didn't do anything. So i walked over and she was asleep. It was so cute..so naturally i took a  photo and a video...and then i laid her down. (sorry for the shakiness in the beginning, i was fighting w the dog.) 9/11/12

At the Playground!!!

Fall is upon us now! I'm so excited to bust out some cute Fall clothes and boots! We got some new first for Bethany in the past week. She now bathes in the big bathtub!! Ironically, in the bath tub is also where she has waved bye-bye for the first time and clapped her hands! She's just chugging along quite nicely. She can also pull herself up and stand (w a little assistance)..i'm guessing it won't be long before she is walking. We shall see.

OK Playground....so we went to the playground for the first time on Saturday. We were on a walk and decided to stop...they didn't have any swings but they did have slides...here in which are the videos of Bethany going down the slides for the first time...weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! 9/8/12

Long time, no see

It's been a while since i posted any videos. My computer got a virus and i was unable to use it. Finally got it up and running...yeah! Bethany has continued to grow like a little weed. She moves all over the place now, the only time she sits still is when she is sleeping....its exhausting. My job was pretty easy up until now. It's like a wrestling/rangling match now. Haha. I have quite a few videos to post...enjoy!! Some are long...

Bethany has been getting more flavorful meals...shes starting to eat big girl meals...here she is eating Spaghetti...well needless to say...it was nasty! 8/30/12

Fun in the Sun!!!

I've been a little behind on my blogging. For a while i haven't had any videos to share. Nothing too exciting going on around here. Just patiently waiting for the scorching hot temps to cool down so we can play outside more often. Bethany is moving around a lot more now. Not exactly crawling yet, but i think it's coming pretty soon. She def scoots and is all over the place. We had some fun in the sun the other day. Put Bethany in her little whale tub and then played in the sprinkler.

First i wanted to share a funny video of Bethany laughing. It's super shaky, sorry for that, but hearing her laugh is pretty funny. 8/9/12

M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!!!!

Mickey Mouse is one of Bethany's favorite Disney characters right now. She LOVES to watch the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show. She always gets so excited. Well today we went to the mall to walk around and we happened to wander into the Disney store. Looked at some pretty princess dresses and crowns and then we saw Mickey....well she got soooooooooo excited. It was so cute. I loved it. Here is a couple videos of her getting all excited to see Mickey (and Minnie Mouse too). Needless to say too, we ended up getting her a Mickey Mouse stuffed animal. Couldn't help it. 8/8/12

On the go....

Well Bethany has been getting better at being up on her knees and pulling herself up a little. She eve goes really well in her walker. As Nathan says...a good investment.

One night she was so fussy while i was folding clothes. So i put her in the basket to see what she would do, and she had a good time in the basket. 8/3/12

Persistance

Bethany is such a persistent little girl. When she wants something she goes for it until she gets it. She also started to try meats...but the baby food kind...they look so gross i don't even want to feed them to her. So far she has tried turkey and chicken. I dread feeding her the ham. It kind of makes me want to puke looking at it. But she seems to like them so far. Anywho, lets get to the videos shall we.

The first two videos here are of Bethany w her new fascination of pulling on trash bags. If i pull her away she starts to get so mad. Haha. 7/30/12

The next one is a trash bag again, but this is after a freak out because i told her no and pushed her away from the trash can. 7/30/12

Every time i try to put her up on her knees she tries to either straighten her legs or just fall flat on her stomach, well since 2 days ago she has been holding herself up and rocking a little. 7/31/12

Sitting, what a workout!

Before i get into the now, i wanted to give an update on the solid food eating. She has been doing really well so far. She has tried Pears, Apples, Carrots (her favorite by far!), Squash, Sweet Potatoes, Mixed Vegetables (eh, not her fav.), Peas (she did really well surprisingly), and lastly we have tried Green Beans (she literally gagged eating them). It was pretty funny to see her wrinkle her nose at the foods she didn't really care for. Overall though, she is doing pretty well at it. We still eat oatmeal for breakfast....that's always just kind of boring...but i think that's how all people feel about oatmeal.

Back to the title of what this post is to be about. Sitting! She recently has strengthened up her core. She can sit all on her own...she wobbles sometimes. Unlike the toys...she does fall down. But it doesn't seem to phase her much. I still use the little C pillow to help support her, but she doesn't always need it. We will be working on some more body strengthening routines to help her build up her muscle strength. When she hits the gym.....she hits it hard!

Splish, splash

Well i've been a little MIA. We had Korey visiting us for a week so we were busy entertaining him. Bethny turned 6 months old. She weighed 15.5lbs and was 24in long. Growing like a weed. I don't have too much to say as of right now so ill just get to the videos.

Guard Dogs!

I had this vision that the dogs would end up be super protective of Bethany and what not. It hasn't really been that way per say. They mostly just lay beside her and lick her face. She really has started to "notice" the dogs and want to be around them. She watches them a lot when they wrestle and run around.Sometimes she laughs at them when they are being crazy. It's pretty cute. When they are in arms reach she tries to touch them. She loves them. It's pretty neat to see. I'm glad they all get along. She likes to "hug" them. Really she's just pulling out their fur. HaHa. But they don't seem to mind.

The first video is kinda long. It's of her trying to touch Sage and then at the end she gets a hold of Rusty. He just gives in and licks her face.

Later on  that night Nathan is holding on to Bethany and letting her pet the dogs...well they end up not wanting to be near her. Haha, she plays to rough apparently.

To PA and back

Well we took our first trip back to Pennsylvania as a family. Bethany did really well on the plane. Slept both ways w/ a tad bit of fussiness on the way back to Arizona. We saw almost every single family member possible on this trip. It was like a family overload for Bethany. So many photos were taken its just crazy. I took approx. 300 photos. I took quite a few videos too. Once i can figure out how to scale some of the videos ill add them later. But for now here are some videos from when we were home.

 While we were home Bethanys BFF turned one...Kennedy Grace. We weren't able to make her party so we went over a few days early to give her our gifts. Here is a snipet of it. 6/14/12

Gma Law got Bethany building blocks....however, she is a little too small to build thing. So i built small towers and had Bethany knock them over. She was WAY better at doing that. 6/15/12

Bethany laughs at random things all the time. When she does you have to get a video quick. Because if you try to reinact it....it aint happening. She will think one thing is funny one moment, but not the next. Short attention span....Here she is laughing at her Aunt NeeNee making a funny noise. 6/19/12

Daddy and B

I am a part of a military family now. It doesn't make me who i am but it has help shape me to who i am. It's a part of my life that has lots of up, downs and time together and time apart. Way too many times apart. Well i was able to handle it one deployment at a time. Now that we have Bethany and are starting a family...these times apart will def. become more difficult. Well i take lots of photos and videos so heaven forbid something happens Bethany will have some memories. Its a crazy way of thinking, but it's how i think. It's better to be safe than sorry.  Here  is a video of Bethany w Nathan!!

A little behind

Seeing how i started this blog way late, 6 months late, I have loads of videos to share. I decided to put a few in this blog all at once. Some are a little long...i have yet to figure out how to cut them into smaller ones. So i don't blame you if you end it early. No hurt feelings.

Something New

Hello All.

So i've decided to share a little of our lives with you all. I've never done anything like this before. So bare with me until i figure it all out. I decided to start a blog to share our lives and the growth of Bethany w family and friends. We live all the way out in Arizona and our families live all the way in Pennsylvania. That's a whole 32hrs driving time. Way too far for my likings. 

I wanted to do a sort of video blog. I couldn't really figure that out in how to download the videos and such. I decided to write a little and then insert the videos here. I have tons of videos so i'm a little behind and i wish i would have started this a while ago. Some you may have seen, but heck, they are so cute why not watch them twice. 

I hope you enjoy my "video blog" and like i said, bare with me. It's a new start.

Here is my first video...this is when Bethany was 1month 1day old. She looks so tiny compared to how big she is now. It's crazy.
